The so-called "German Trainer," delivered as indoor training sports shoes for the former German Army since the 1980s.
This is a special color edition limited to the world and Japan, featuring the BW archive sole seen in vintage models from the '80s to '90s, while maintaining the specs of the current model "ref.1000" officially supplied as government issue to the German Federal Army.
The upper uses cow leather from a long-established European tannery compliant with the TL (Technical List) No. 8430-0048 DIN standard, and split velour leather for the toe puff trim, which also serves to protect the toe.
The tongue part, made of non-woven fabric coated with PVC, is stamped with the internationally standardized shoe size "ISO 9407:1991" recommended Mondopoint size, approximate manufacturing date, and manufacturer number used by military organizations such as NATO as proof of military approval.
The BW SPORT sole, which excels in cushioning, durability, and grip support from the sole to the spine, features a precise mold design that comprehensively covers the ergonomics, structural mechanics, and statistics of the time. It has been manufactured for over 40 years with development costs that companies alone could not afford.
