Alpacas are animals of the camel family that are raised in the highlands of Peru at elevations ranging from 3,500 to 5,000 meters.
This raw fiber is characterized by a texture that is softer and smoother than that of sheep’s wool. It is made from Royal Baby Alpaca—said to account for only about 1% of the total harvested fleece—which is spun into yarn. Royal Baby Alpaca spun yarn is extremely rare; compared to combed yarn, it has less shedding and results in a fluffy, soft texture. We’ve combined this luxurious texture with a distressed pattern to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
