Introducing the new brand 〈 UNFIL 〉.
UNFIL is a brand launched in 2017 by Saori Komatsu, who was active as a designer for the knit brand "Ilianrobe".
“unfil” means “a single thread” in French.
UNFIL’s clothing creation starts, as the brand name suggests, from imagining a single thread inspired by the original charm of the material.
Natural materials, carefully cultivated in each production area and used as clothing materials since ancient times, have various functions and regenerative powers.
To enhance the original goodness of the materials, they develop knitted fabrics and textiles, proposing high-quality everyday wear that pursues comfort and silhouette through new ideas and the traditional techniques of producers.
This time at DOKODO, the handling starts from the autumn/winter season, so the arrivals are mainly knits.

At DOKODO, we usually select brands and items with this in mind.
Another important thing in choosing clothes is whether wearing them lifts your mood.
The standards such as cute design or comfort vary from person to person.
When selecting clothes with the desire to propose such items,
I once thought that many brands and clothes have impressive designs and colors for each piece.
At the same time, I struggled with the thought that there might be few clothes to propose to customers in terms of “high-quality everyday wear.”
At such a time, I found this brand “UNFIL.”

fits “commitment to materials” and “items that convey the makers’ feelings,” which increased my interest.
As we age, we tend to choose clothes paying attention to texture and comfort, and I feel we wear more “good things.”
I wanted to propose more items that DOKODO customers would feel the same about, so we decided to carry this brand.
When I first saw the products at the exhibition,
I thought it might be a brand whose goodness is understood not just by looks but by touching and wearing the products.
Also, the brand’s use of color is wonderful, with many feminine shades that made my heart dance just by looking.
We would be happy if not only our regular customers but also new customers could pick up such a brand “UNFIL.”
