A heavy cotton double cloth material with napping finish.
Napping is a process that raises the surface fibers. This process gives the fabric a soft touch, warmth, and a unique appearance. It is said to have originated from wool woven for shepherds and hunters in the 1300s, where the wool was intentionally made into a fuzzy state to hide scratches caused by catching on tree branches. Usually, this process is applied to wool, but this is a daily-use material with the process applied to cotton.
