Product Details
■ Product Description
The name comes from the shape of the hat worn by the lead actress in the 1942 movie "Casablanca." It features a brim design made to cover the face and is a classic style loved for a long time.
The soft, rounded silhouette emphasizes femininity, giving an elegant atmosphere like a movie actress just by wearing it. The thin ribbon and short cut knot are neat and sophisticated, with a subtle impact, making it easy for first-timers to wear without hesitation. Loops on both sides allow you to attach strings so it won't fly off even in the wind. Inside is a tag made by Tanaka Hat Shop.
■ Raw materials
The material is "Mugiwara Sanada," made by braiding seven barley stalks into cords and weaving them into Sanada cords. First, each Sanada cord is handwoven, moistened with a spray, and sewn. Next, it is shaped, dried in the sun to evaporate moisture, then dried and decorated. This process of sewing → shaping → decorating is divided among three people to complete one hat.
