■ Product Description Handwerker Laboratory selects craftsmen for each season and creates uniforms for them. This time, we made trousers for blacksmith artist Shinichi Mizukami. When working as a blacksmith, sparks and iron powder are often flying around, and the pants often get torn when they get caught on tools or works at random times during work, so we first used Corde Yura nylon, which is said to be flame-retardant and harder than iron, as the fabric for the pants. In order to increase the strength of the front part from the knee-length part to the thighs due to the damage situation of some pairs of pants that were originally worn for work, we made a patch and doubled the fabric. The hand towels that are usually wrapped around the head and neck are chosen according to the season, and the aesthetics of Japan are naturally incorporated into the works that are made, so the design itself also incorporates the feel of Japanese work clothes. It seems that tying the waist string gives a sense of security when wearing the pants, so we designed it so that you can tie the string at the end and put it on. A pocket for a tape measure and a marker, which are often carried while working, is located on the back right, and there is also a belt loop as the owner sometimes wears a belt while working and uses the buckle part.

Cordura
This is the fabric we chose for Handwerker Laboratory. It is a blend of Cordura nylon, which has excellent strength and durability, and flame-retardant Modacrylic. Modacrylic has been used in outdoor activities in recent years because it is a material that is resistant to fire and highly durable. The thread count is 30/1, and it is a piece-dyed plain weave (poplin). *Please note that this is not fireproof.
