There are times when having a shawl or stole is helpful no matter the season.
Since it's the season when air conditioning and sunlight can be bothersome, it's reassuring to quietly slip one into your bag. I also have stoles made of various materials, but my favorite is the Monet water lily pattern. When I went to the art museum, I was drawn to a lovely person wearing a Van Gogh sunflower pattern stole, even from a distance.
