This smock dress is based on the motif of an antique surplice from The Last Flower of the Afternoon. The fabric is a high-density typewriter cloth made from organic cotton. It is made from extra-long staple organic cotton compact yarn produced at a GOTS-certified spinning mill, giving it a beautiful drape and a moderately firm texture. The cuffs, which look like they have a bow wrapped around them, are the highlight of the outfit. The hem is rounded for ease of movement, and gives the dress a sleek, mature silhouette. The strings on the cuffs add an accent to the outfit. The waist cord can be tightened to adjust the silhouette.
